Having run several of these back before 2020 and COVID, we took the decision in 2025 to run another, early in 2026. Largely pulling on the programme outline for the previous conferences – then called “Preachers’ Pitstop” – we did indeed run our first “Deepen” in January 2026. Although attended by a relatively small group of two dozen, feedback from those present convinced us that we should be looking to do this regularly – so we booked the same hotel for the same week next year!
Last year’s programme is still available here, if you’d like to get an idea of the likely general layout for Deepen 2027. At the time of writing (May 2026), we’re at a very early stage of planning for next year. But we’re definitely looking to get the planning to a more advanced stage, a whole lot earlier in the year, to give more people greater opportunity to plan to come. In particular, we’re hoping to lay on tracks for various kinds of ministries with church: youth workers, ladies’ workers, home group leaders, occasional and regular preachers – though we will likely have to adapt precisely who and what we lay on to suit whoever actually books in.
